About Rivolta

Centro Sociale Rivolta is a huge self-managed space at Via Fratelli Bandiera 45 in Marghera, set in a former industrial complex and considered a giant of self-management in north-east Italy. For decades it has been one of the country's most important social centres, a reference point for environmental and social activism in the Venice area and for live music. Its vast sheds can host concerts for thousands of people, with a programme ranging from punk and hardcore to reggae and dub, from rap and hip hop to electronica and alternative rock, featuring international bands, leading names of the Italian scene and emerging groups. One of its most awaited events is Venezia Hardcore Fest, two days with dozens of bands from all over the world, alongside independent label festivals, raves and benefit nights. Low prices and an engaged crowd make every event a community moment. Rivolta is an institution of Veneto counterculture.
