About Cpa Firenze Sud

CPA Firenze Sud is a people's self-managed centre occupied since 1989 at Via Villamagna 27/a, in the Gavinana district south of Florence. For over thirty-five years it has been one of the historic places of Tuscan counterculture and a key stage for the Italian punk, hardcore and Oi! scene. Its music programme is broad and true to the spirit of self-management: punk, hardcore, Oi!, street punk, ska, reggae, metal and rap, with bands from the Italian and international DIY circuit, festivals, benefit gigs and hip hop nights. Large indoor and outdoor spaces allow it to host both intimate gigs and events with thousands of people, always at low prices. Alongside music there is grassroots sport, political initiatives, markets and neighbourhood activities. CPA is a historic stronghold of rebel Florence, where live music has been a tool of freedom and community for decades.
