Lumen — Venue & Club | Florence, Italy

About Lumen

Lumen, Laboratorio Urbano Mensola, is a creative hub at Via del Guarlone 25, in east Florence near the Mensola stream, born from the regeneration of a disused public space. With urban gardens, a garden, a kitchen and event spaces, it combines art, music, culture and food in a place where social life becomes a shared project. Its music programme focuses mainly on electronica and its crossovers: house, techno, ambient, experimental electronica, contemporary jazz and world music, with open-air DJ sets, live shows by producers and musicians, and artistic and audiovisual performances. Summer evenings in the garden, surrounded by greenery, create a relaxed, communal atmosphere far from the traditional club. Alongside music there are markets, workshops, exhibitions and neighbourhood initiatives. Lumen is an example of urban regeneration where live music and club culture meet sustainability.
