About Freakout Club

The Freakout Club is a fundamental landmark for underground live music in Bologna, active since 2012. Located at Via Emilio Zago 7/C, right under the Stalingrado Bridge, it sits in a strategic position between the Cirenaica neighborhood and the railway fair area. The philosophy of the venue is clear and uncompromising: hosting exclusively original live music. The programming ranges from punk, garage, doom, metal, and psychedelia to indie rock and experimental electronics, completely excluding cover and tribute bands. Managed by the Ruggine Cultural Association, Freakout is an AICS affiliated cultural club, with entry strictly reserved for members holding an annual membership card. Defined by a raw, intimate, and direct atmosphere, the club stands out for its essential space focused purely on enjoying concerts, backed by a powerful sound system that maximizes the listening experience and underground socialization.
