Bloom — Venue & Club | Mezzago, Italy
📍 Italy 📍 MonzaAbout Bloom
Bloom in Mezzago, located in the province of Monza and Brianza, is one of Italy's most historic and iconic independent cultural and musical venues. Opened on May 16, 1987, in the former Cinema Ponte building and managed by the social cooperative Il Visconte di Mezzago, the club was born as a stronghold for alternative music, the underground scene, and self-production, consistently offering a free space outside mainstream commercial logic. Hosting over 100 concerts a year alongside historic events, the stage at Bloom has shaped the evolution of Italian and international rock. Among its most legendary moments is November 26, 1989, the date of Nirvana's very first concert in Italy. Over the years, the venue has hosted major international acts such as Green Day, Queens of the Stone Age, Mudhoney, and Primus. At the same time, it has served as a landmark for the Italian indie and alternative scene, launching and welcoming fundamental bands like Verdena, Ministri, Marlene Kuntz, Afterhours, and Uzeda.
