About Cso Pedro

CSO Pedro is an occupied social centre at Via Ticino 5 in Padua, in the Guizza district, active since 1987 and for almost forty years one of the landmarks of Veneto counterculture. A space of occupation, resistance and activism, it hosts farmers' markets, social initiatives and a music programme that has shaped the history of Padua's independent scene. Its live offer is combative and true to the spirit of self-management: punk, hardcore, crust, Oi!, ska and militant rap, with bands from the Italian and international DIY circuit, emerging local groups and hip hop nights linked to radical culture. Benefit gigs, festivals and donation-based nights fill the centre with low prices and an engaged crowd. The atmosphere is genuine and communal, far from any commercial logic. Pedro is a historic stronghold of Padua, where live music has been a tool of freedom and social commitment for decades.
