Csoa Exkarcere — Venue & Club | Palermo, Italy

About Csoa Exkarcere

The ExKarcere Social Center, located in via San Basilio 17 in Palermo inside the historic Ex convent of San Basilio, is the most authentic and uncompromising soul of the city's underground scene. Rescued from abandonment to become a self-managed social space, it serves as a landmark for independent and alternative live music. Its lineup focuses on raw and powerful sounds, ranging from punk to heavy metal, hardcore, garage rock, grunge, and militant rap. The stage hosts festivals dedicated to local emerging bands, such as ExMusik Fest, historic weekly jam sessions, performances by national alternative groups, and benefit live events. Here, live music retains a strong social core, acting as a medium for community gathering, counterculture, and messages of freedom.
