Ciq — Venue & Club | Milan, Italy

About Ciq

CIQ, Centro Internazionale di Quartiere, is a cultural space at Via Fabio Massimo 19, in the Corvetto district on Milan's south-east outskirts. A meeting place open to everyone, with a large garden and a strong intercultural vocation, over the years it has become a reference point for live music and community life in the neighbourhood. Started in 2018 as a project of the Sunugal association, chaired by Modou Gueye, its programme weaves together African music, afrobeat, world music, reggae, jazz, hip hop and electronica, with concerts, jam sessions, DJ sets and nights such as Filodiffusione Live Music Night. The stage hosts international artists, diaspora musicians and emerging Milanese bands in an ongoing dialogue between cultures. Supported by crowdfunding campaigns from its community, CIQ shows how live music can become a tool for inclusion and urban regeneration.
