Big Mama Live Music & Bar, located in the heart of Trastevere, served as Rome's Temple of Blues for decades. Opened on March 30, 1984, this iconic underground club made local music history thanks to its flawless acoustics and an intimate speakeasy atmosphere. Its famous stage hosted unforgettable concerts by international legends such as Elvis Costello, Brian May, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Dave Matthews, Buddy Miles, and Chet Baker. At the same time, the club was a key landmark and launchpad for celebrated Italian artists, hosting live performances by Pino Daniele, Alex Britti, and Giorgia.
