About Etti/Etta
etti/etta is a duo split between Toronto and Calabria, blending post-punk and shoegaze. Their sound plays on nervous basslines, effect drenched guitars and vocals buried inside the wall of sound, balancing new wave coldness with noisy warmth. The geographical distance becomes part of the project's identity, shaping melancholic and hypnotic songs. A pick for anyone looking for post-punk tension wrapped in shoegaze haze.
