EtnoSound were born in 2009 from an idea by Leonardo Bonavita, driven by his passion for popular music. Encouraged by maestro Domenico Macrì, they released their first album “Amuri appena natu”, which sold over five thousand copies. Their live performances always involve the audience in a whirlwind of rhythms and joy. The current lineup (Leonardo, Domenico, Andrea, Gianluca and Peppe) marks a decisive turning point: their concerts blend sounds from Southern Italy, the result of research into the traditional rhythms of Calabria (the lira of the Ionian Reggio area, the zampogna, organetto and tamburello of the Sila and the Grecanica Area).
