The Vecchio Son Cultural Association, located in Via Giovanni Antonio Sacco 14 in the San Donato district of Bologna, is the authentic Home of Bologna Underground Rock. Founded in 1998 and tied to historic figures like Steno from Nabat, this social and creative space takes its name from the legendary bluesman Son House. The club is an underground institution specializing in raw, genuine sounds, serving as the city's main benchmark for punk rock, hardcore, Oi!, grunge, reggae, and ska. Its stage hosts energetic live shows by local bands and international legends such as Slaughter And The Dogs, Nabat, and Golpe, alongside album release parties and showcases. The venue pairs its vibrant live activity with four equipped rehearsal rooms, the Angelo Sigaro Conti Music School, and the renowned Son House recording studio, standing as the beating heart of alternative music in Bologna.
